COMPLEX SENTENCE
A complex sentence
is a sentence which consists of a independent clause and at least a dependent
clause which is introduced by subordinator (because, so that, who, etc).
Pattern:
CS = IP + subordinator + DP
{IP/DP = S
+ P or S + P + O/C}
in which,
CS
= Compound
Sentence
IP = Independent
Clause
DP = Dependent
Clause
S = Subject
P = Predicate
(verb)
O = Object
C = Complement
Examples of Simple Sentences:
